CAHR is committed to strengthening our communities' capacity to take constructive action against relationship abuse.

LOCATIONS: Athabasca, Barrhead, and Westlock Alberta

We coordinate funding and training for:

• Creating Change Group Programs for people struggling with the issue of relationship abuse or family violence
• Organizations providing Preventative Outreach Services for women, men, and their children experiencing abuse
• Awareness and Education programs in the community and workplace
• Coordinated Community Responses to address elder abuse

Healthy Families Healthy Futures is the lead agent for a regional collaborative network which addresses family violence and elder abuse.

This community partnership involves individuals, agencies, organizations, justice, and RCMP.

Our shared vision is to have our rural communities free of relationship abuse.
